Meet The Hosts
Gwyn moved to Bella Coola when she was four and quickly grew to love the wild, natural beauty of the valley. Gwyn is passionate about whole, nourishing food and nurturing a deep connection to mother nature and her cycles. She is currently training to become a certified Ayurvedic health counsellor. Much like the valley she calls home, her teaching also encourages alignment with the natural state of self and the positive shifts that come with finding this balance.
Joseph, a member of the Nuxalk Nation, was born and raised in the Bella Coola Valley. Growing up, he developed a deep passion for the outdoors, spending most of his life exploring what others call the backcountry his giant playground. In addition to managing the farm with Gwyn, Joseph leads mindful and intentional tours into the Bella Coola backcountry. His love for the outdoors and his belief in nature as a profound healer inspire him to guide others on their own journeys of self-discovery.
About The Farm
WildWay Farm sprawls across 53 acres in the Bella Coola Valley, offering a natural paradise with mountain views in every direction and easy access to scenic hiking and walking trails winding through the valley's lush coastal rainforest.
On the farm, you'll find an organic garden full of flowers, veggies, berries, and fruits - all available for purchase during your stay. The farm is also home to Charlie and Nanu (the dogs), Slick and Smudge (the cats), and not forgetting the three pygmy goats: Cricket, Corby and Flower.
WildWay is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of some great local spots. You can find Mountain Valley Organics and End of the Road Coffee right across from the farm, and The Hagensborg Mercantile is just a 10-minute walk away

WildWay Farm Co
Bella Coola is situated in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. The Bella Coola valley winds through a lush rainforest, with rivers renowned for world-class fishing and breathtaking 360-degree views of the towering coastal mountains everywhere you turn. The remoteness of this place is part of its charm, which makes getting here almost as much of an adventure as being here. That said, there are a few different ways to make the journey to Bella Coola. You can fly into Bella Coola Airport, take the scenic Bella Coola Ferry, or drive through the stunning landscapes. Each route offers a unique perspective on the natural beauty and adventure that await you in Bella Coola, Canada.

● Embark on a scenic drive across the Chilcotin Plateau and down the iconic Hill.
● Take the picturesque 11-hour BC Ferry ride from Port Hardy.

" Gwyn and Joe were awesome hosts, they welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around the property as well as introducing us to their beautiful dogs. The cabin is pristine, clean and cozy with a decent bed and vibes of zen. Keep the teepee tents warm with a comfy fireplace and a luxurious bed. This was probably the best air b&b bed I’ve experienced. Very cool experience and overall awesome stay. The Valley has lots of outdoors to offer, the stay was a bonus. " This is one of the best airbnb we have stayed. The place is surrounded by mountains and the views are beautiful. The tipis are cozy and warm and the cabin is fully equipped and homey. Gwen’s attention to detail is amazing. This place is either great to stay and relax and enjoy the farm or to wander in Bella Coola. Bella coola is incredible and Joe can take you trekking to breathtaking mountains. Both of them are super nice and friendly and the vibe of the place is so nice. Incredible place to enjoy Bella Coola. "

" Our stay at Wildway Farms was wonderful. Gwyneth and Joe were excellent hosts and the spaces and surroundings were lovely. My husband and I really enjoyed sleeping in the teepee. It is beautifully decorated and the bed was really warm and cozy. Our teenage daughter enjoyed the loft space in the cabin and my father slept well in the bedroom. Shops for buying food were nearby and we took an incredible hike by just walking down the road from the farm to the trailhead. We bought some fresh produce from Gwyneth and Joe and the raspberries and strawberries were out of this world. We recommend staying here without reservation and hope to return again someday! "

When Gwyneth was young, she stayed in a Teepee during a horseback trip. The connection she felt with the land while staying in this Teepee fostered a profound connection with nature that left a lasting impact on her. Inspired by this experience, our goal at WildWay is to create a healing space where nature guides you back to your true self. Our Teepees serve as your home base and sleeping quarters, bringing you closer to nature while ensuring a sense of safety, protection, and comfort. Although conical structures similar to the teepee have been used as shelters in various parts of the world, including Northern Europe, Russia, Mongolia, and China, we felt purchasing from a Canadian company was important. Our teepees are crafted by Mukwa, an Anishinabe Indigenous company that holds the intellectual and cultural property rights to produce these traditional structures. Mukwa aims to pass on knowledge to the next generation and build cross-cultural relationships, bridging the Anishinabe and the broader society.WildWay Farm and Mukwa Teepees share a commitment to respecting all things and living in harmony with our sacred mother earth. This alignment and mutual respect were crucial to both WildWay and Mukwa before we moved forward with purchasing the Teepees. It is important to note, that while we embrace these values, we do not promote our business as an Indigenous experience. Joseph, although Indigenous, is part of the Nuxalk Nation, which historically did not stay in TeePees and we want to ensure that is clear.
